Supportive care

Life after treatment

Treatment has ended, but recovery takes time. Energy, weight, sleep and confidence often return slowly. We provide steady, long-term support alongside your oncology follow-ups.

Call your oncologist first

A new lump, unexplained bleeding or weight loss, persistent pain, breathlessness, or fever during chemotherapy needs your oncologist or emergency care first.

When to call your oncologist first

Working with your oncologist

You continue under your oncologist. Our Ayurvedic care is coordinated with, and subject to, your treating oncology team.

Never start any Ayurvedic Medicine during chemotherapy or radiation without your oncologist and our doctor reviewing it together.

After treatment

Common concerns we help with

Energy and tiredness

How we support: a gradual routine, planned rest, and activity increased slowly.

Tell your oncologist if: tiredness gets worse instead of better, or comes with fever, breathlessness or weight loss.

Weight and appetite

How we support: Pathya (suitable diet) for steady meals and a healthy weight.

Tell your oncologist if: you lose weight you cannot explain.

Sleep

How we support: a calm evening routine and a steady bedtime (Dinacharya).

Tell your oncologist if: pain or breathlessness disturbs your sleep.

Digestion

How we support: food and routine for a settled stomach.

Tell your oncologist if: you see blood in stools, or a change does not settle.

Long-term medicines

How we support: comfort for side effects such as joint aches or hot flushes, reviewed with your oncologist.

Tell your oncologist if: side effects make the medicine hard to take. Never stop it on your own.

Worry about the future

How we support: time to talk, slow breathing, a steady routine, and involving the family.

Tell your doctor if: low mood does not lift. For thoughts of self-harm, call Tele MANAS on 14416 or 112 now.

About the fear of it coming back

Many people worry that the cancer will return. That fear is normal, and it often eases with time. We listen, and we help with sleep, calm and daily rhythm. We do not promise that it will not return. Your oncology follow-ups are the way to watch for any change.

Your follow-up plan

  • Keep every follow-up visit and scan your oncology team has planned.
  • Report any new or returning symptom to your oncologist first.
  • Bring your latest reports to our reviews, so our support stays in step with your oncology care.

Back to everyday life

  • Return to work or household duties gradually, a few hours at a time.
  • Build up walking and exercise slowly, as your team advises.
  • Ask your oncology team before long travel or strenuous activity.
  • Share meals with family. Routine and company help recovery.
